Delete your data
There is no minumeeting account, so there is no account to delete. Your meetings live on your device, and you delete them there. Our servers never hold your meetings; the little technical data they do hold is deleted automatically (section 4).
Before you delete anything, export a backup if you may want it later: Settings → Data & Privacy → Export a backup of all data. Deletion on the device cannot be undone.
1. Delete single items in the app
| What | Where | What is deleted |
|---|---|---|
| A meeting | The meeting page → Delete, or the delete button on the meeting in the home list | The meeting with its transcript, audio, AI results and any leftover recording pieces, in one step. Its entries in the "Ask your meetings" index (numbers only, no text) are removed at the same time |
| A note | Notebook → the note → delete | The note, and its audio if it is a voice note |
| A glossary term | Glossary → the term → delete | The term and its definition |
| A voiceprint | Settings → Voiceprints → Delete next to the name | The voice profile |
| An unfinished recording | The "We found an unfinished recording" message at start-up → Delete | The recording pieces saved before the interruption |
2. Delete AI data and withdraw consent
Settings → AI engine → AI data on this device → Delete from this device deletes, from this device:
- the anonymous install ID and the session with our AI service;
- the saved service configuration and allowance information;
- the "Ask your meetings" search index;
- the API keys you saved for your own providers.
It keeps your meetings and the summaries and minutes already made for them, and your engine choice and consents.
To stop sending data to the cloud, switch off the meeting-text or meeting-audio permission, or choose On this device only, in Settings → AI engine. For a provider in My own key mode, use Withdraw consent in the same place.
3. Delete everything on a device
In the app (Android, iPhone and the web)
Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete all my data deletes, from this device and in one step: every meeting with its recording, transcript and summaries, notes and voice notes, the glossary, the AI data of section 2 (including the API keys saved for your own providers), and all settings. You can also choose to delete the downloaded transcription and translation engines (they are downloaded again when needed). The app asks you to confirm and lists what will be deleted; it then starts afresh, as if just installed. It cannot run while a recording is in progress.
The system methods below do the same from outside the app.
Android app
Open your phone's Settings → Apps → minumeeting → Storage → Clear storage (the names vary slightly between phone makers), or uninstall the app. Both delete all meetings, recordings, settings and saved keys on that phone. minumeeting's data is not in your Google cloud backup.
iPhone and iPad
Touch and hold the minumeeting icon → Remove App → Delete App, or go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage → minumeeting → Delete App. This deletes the app with all its meetings, recordings and settings. Do not use "Offload App" for this: it keeps the app's data.
API keys you saved are kept in the iOS Keychain, which iOS may keep after the app is deleted. To remove them, first use Delete all my data (above) or Delete from this device (section 2), then delete the app.
Web app
The web app stores everything in your browser for the site minumeeting.com. To delete it all, clear the site data for minumeeting.com in your browser — for example:
- Chrome or Edge: open minumeeting.com, select the icon next to the site address in the address bar → Site settings → Delete data (or Clear data).
- Safari on iPhone or iPad: Settings → Apps → Safari → Advanced → Website Data → minumeeting.com → Delete.
- Safari on Mac: Safari → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → minumeeting.com → Remove.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data → minumeeting.com → Remove Selected.
This also removes the downloaded engines and any data kept from an older version of the app. If you installed the web app on your device, uninstall it as well; uninstalling alone may not delete its data.
Files you saved elsewhere — backups and exports in your files, cloud drive or email — are not affected. Delete them where you saved them.
4. Data kept outside your device
| Data | What happens to it |
|---|---|
| Meeting text or audio sent in Smart mode | Never stored: it is discarded as soon as the result is returned |
| Usage counts (a hashed install ID) | Deleted automatically 8 days after your last Smart-mode use. Once you delete the AI data on your device, the old install ID no longer exists anywhere it could be linked to |
| Technical server logs (no content, IP address or install ID) | Deleted after 7 days |
| Reports you sent about AI results | Deleted automatically after 90 days. To delete one sooner, email us the report number shown when you sent it |
| Emails you sent us | Deleted on request — write to us from the same address |
| Content you sent with your own key | Held by that provider under your account. Use the provider's privacy controls: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, OpenRouter |
| Hosting and human-check data (Vercel, Cloudflare Turnstile) | Kept for the short periods set by those providers |
